The most remarkable point of Kurume-Chikugo-OoKabuki is that amateur actors play genuine Kabuki. Everything other than players is professional, the stage, the costume, the makeup, the gidayu reciters, and the musicians.
It takes one year to decide every detail, title, players, practices rehearsals. Instructors are professional Kabuki actors, Matagoro Nakamura and Mitsugoro Bando. Players are various, about80-100 people, from all ages, even elementary school children.
This Kabuki is run by the donations from players and supporters.
